Modern Age Materials If Mr. Wright's principles of materials are understood, it should come as no surprise that he envisioned that modern age plastics as an acceptable material. The key to any material was his criteria that the architect exercise well-trained imagination to see in any material an inherent style. He foresaw that all materials may be beautiful, their beauty dependent on how well they are employed by the architect. At SAMARA, Mr. Wright knew that the red concrete floor would become richer in color and beauty when wet. He truly recognized the full range of the nature of materials resulting from changes in environmental conditions. |
