Architectural Materials The primary architectural materials are dark red brick, a muted red concrete floor, natural Philippine mahogany wood used in both the structure and furniture, white plaster, and clear plate glass. Taken together as the house is designed these materials tend to present interesting color patterns, but without the proper attention to colors in furnishings, would leave the house with a cold, damp feeling. The texture of fabrics and neutral shade of wood, along with indirect lighting, tend to soften the feeling. |
