Lighting in the Living Room
The House Design

SAMARA's orientation catches the morning sunlight but tends, with the exception of light entering through several vertical strip windows in the living room and clerestory windows in some rooms, to block light from entering.

To offset any dependence on natural light, Frank Lloyd Wright designed a series of permanent and free standing variable intensity lights into the walls and ceilings of the house.

These lights produce both pink and yellow shades of color. To supplement the natural light, artificial light sources also add warmth to the building - a very important feature.
