Inspired by Artistic Expressions of Frank Lloyd Wright
OTTERBEIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The Kids Interact with Dr. Christian
Stained Glass Design Dr. Christian makes a point to wear a Frank Lloyd Wright designed neck tie to class to illustrate Mr. Wright's attention to detail in his work as an artist. The pattern is from the stylized motif of the Tree of Life associated with his home and studio in Oakpark, Illinois. Kaylee and Jenna are impressed with the idea that Mr. Wright's designs would find their way onto things people wear.
Explaining Wright's Architectural Style The kids enjoy time together with Dr. Christian. John interacts well with the students as they discuss the geometry and colors of Mr. Wright's art glass. Several students point to the geometric designs that tie their distinctive shapes and colors together.
