Spring 2000 SAMARA Furniture and Its Use In A Frank Lloyd Wright Designed Home The Eclectic Mr. Wright Jerry Johnson ![]()
Wright commonly used the same design, once he considered it to be good, in several homes.
The same chair was selected for use at Fallingwater in 1935. Mrs. Kauffman rejected the chair because it wouldn't sit without rocking on the uneven stone floors, but one did find its way into Mr. Kauffman's bedroom as a desk chair.
The same chair was also selected for use for dining chairs at Herbert Johnson's 1937 home, Wingspread.
